Postdoctoral fellow Guanglin Huang has been selected for the “2023 Contemporary Economics PhD Innovation Project”

Congratulations to our postdoctoral fellow Dr. Guanglin Huang, for his paper “Research on High-Dimensional Dynamic High-Order Moment Investment Portfolio Based on Factor Structure: Optimization and Semi-Parametric Estimation” (supervised by Prof. Wanbo Lu), which has been selected for the 2023 Contemporary Economics PhD Innovation Project!

This prestigious project is organized annually by the Contemporary Economics Foundation to recognize and support outstanding doctoral graduates in economics from Chinese universities. It aims to inspire young scholars to engage in cutting-edge research and make innovative contributions to the advancement of economic science. Each year, only 10 excellent papers are selected nationwide.

Dr. Guanglin Huang earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the School of Statistics at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. In 2021, he received sponsorship from the China Scholarship Council (CSC) to participate in a one-year joint training program at the Free University of Brussels in Belgium. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Statistics in Southwestern Univeristy of Finance and Economics. His research interests include financial time series analysis, financial econometrics, and high-dimensional factor analysis.
