The Ministry of Education of China has announced the results of its 2026 General Program for Humanities and Social Sciences Research. The project “Trustworthy Modeling Methods, Theory, and Applications Based on Federated Learning,” submitted by Assistant Researcher Shiyu Liu of the team, has been selected.
Shiyu Liu is an Assistant Researcher at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies in Statistics, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. Liu’s research focuses on trustworthy artificial intelligence, distributed learning, statistical machine learning, and graph representation learning. Liu’s research has been published in international academic journals, including Artificial Intelligence Review and Journal of Systems Architecture, as well as at international academic conferences such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ACL, and IJCAI.
