The Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation was established in 1986 with the mission of promoting educational development and cultivating academic talent. It aims to recognize and support outstanding young lecturers who have demonstrated excellence in both teaching and research. Over the years, the Foundation’s awards have become some of the most prestigious honors in China’s higher education sector, providing critical encouragement and recognition for early-career university faculty members. Since the 18th round of awards, the Foundation has introduced two distinct categories: the Higher Education Youth Science Award and the Education and Teaching Award, thereby honoring contributions in both research and education. The Youth Science Award is intended for university faculty members under the age of 40 who are engaged in cutting-edge scientific research and have made significant achievements in areas such as national economic development, social progress, and technological innovation. The Education and Teaching Award is granted to faculty members under the age of 55 who have devoted themselves to undergraduate education, demonstrated innovation in educational philosophy and teaching methodology, delivered exceptional teaching outcomes, and made a meaningful impact on student development.
