The 79th batch of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation General Program has recently been announced. Two postdoctoral researchers from the team, Mingcong Wu and Lin Yang, were selected for the program. The China Postdoctoral Science Foundation supports outstanding postdoctoral researchers in pursuing innovative research and plays an important role in cultivating high-level young scientific talent.
Dr. Mingcong Wu obtained a Ph.D. in Science from the School of Statistics and Data Science at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the same institution. His primary research interests include the theory and applications of Gaussian approximation, high-dimensional data analysis, network data analysis, and correlated data analysis.
Dr. Lin Yang graduated in December 2024 with a Ph.D. in Science from the School of Statistics, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. From May 2023 to May 2024, he participated in a one-year joint training program at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Statistics and Data Science, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. His main research interests include high-dimensional time series analysis and functional data analysis.
